Suspected NSCN-U cadre killed in Gun-battle

Guwahati, November 18, 2018:

A suspected National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Unification (NSCN-U) cadre was killed in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh by the Army on Saturday.

Reportedly, few suspected NSCN-U cadres were carrying out extortion from villagers in Laptang village.

Although the other suspected cadres managed to escape using cover of dense foliage.

The army recovered one HK33 automatic rifle, large quantities of ammunition and other incriminating evidence from the deceased.
