ITANAGAR: Tawang town of Arunachal bordering China, which is among the biggest tourist attractions in the Northeast, is witnessing its heaviest snowfall breaking a ten year record.
Temperature went -20 degree and road communications were almost disrupted as vehicles getting stucked in 12 inch snow.
Tawang, which is situated at height of 13,700 feet above sea level, is witnessing heavy snow which is posing threat to vehicular movement as vehicles are getting prone to getting stuck in the snow.
As a result, the Deputy Commissioner's office, schools and all other institutions have been closed as staff has not been able to reach the respective offices amid the heavy snowfall.

Tourist inflow to this the tourist destination has also been disrupted as the road leading from Sella top to Jang and Tawang is also witnessing heaviest snowfall.
Vehicles which are plying however are using chains around tires to prevent skidding on snow covered highways.
Meanwhile, MP Kiren Rijiju has also brought attention to the harsh clime of Tawang on Twitter, amid the unrelenting snow.
Sharing a video of him being stuck in a snow-covered road, Rijiju cautioned people that it is “extremely dangerous to drive” in sub-zero temperatures.
"Pls get proper information before you move because the road is extremely dengerous to drive and temperature goes down to -25 ! (sic)", he advised tourists heading to Tawang.
