Two beauties from the Northeastern region of India have sealed a spot at the top 15 positions of the MTV Supermodel of the year season 2.
Former Miss Arunachal winner and Miss India contestant Roshni Dada and Eksha Kerung Subba, a cop from Sikkim will be seen on the stage of the reality show.
The panel of the show includes the evergreen handsome hunk Milind Soman, Malaika Arora and VJ Anusha.
It is noteworthy that the winner of the last season was from Northeast- Manila Pradhan.
In the show, Manila started off like any other contestant. She too had a baggage of failures and discrimination like previous contestants from the Northeast.
The previous versions of the show, (when it was known as India’s Next Top Model) witnessed the participation of few more models from Northeast including Jantee Hazarika, Eva Ario from Assam and Rajashree Sinha from Manipur. However, none of the contestants were successful in winning the title.
However, she tore through her hurdles and emerged as the winner busting the myth that a 'Northeastern' face can not be a winner for a 'mainstream' show.
The show is back with a bold new theme – ‘Unapologetically You’.
The first episode of the season was premiered on Sunday on MTV.
