Newly-inducted Union Tourism minister Prahlad Singh Patel yesterday praised the efforts of Arunachal Tourism and promised his ministry’s support for its development so that more and more people are able to witness the scenic beauty of the frontier state.
Patel made the remark when Arunachal Tourism minister Nakap Nalo called on him yesterday at his office in New Delhi.
During the meeting, the two discussed the initiative for the holistic development of the tourism sector in the state.

The Union minister said he will discuss various schemes that can be taken up in the state with Nalo on June 10.
Nalo, on his part, thanked Singh for his ministry’s constant support and encouragement.
Dumporijo MLA Rode Bui and resident tourism officer Adong Moyong accompanied the minister in the meeting.
It may be mentioned that Arunachal Pradesh has 12 tourist circuits across 83,500 sq. Km. Each tourist circuit is distinctive in character with different ethnic culture, topography and vegetation. The state has many tourist attractions spread across its vast but sparsely-populated area.
