Itanagar: YouTuber Paras Singh, who landed in trouble for racial remarks against senior Congress MLA Ninong Ering and the people of Arunachal, is reportedly being given virtual history lessons on Arunachal Pradesh from the state’s police during his stay in Itanagar.
Following his arrest by Ludhiana police, Paras was safely taken into custody and flown to Itanagar by the SIT team of Arunachal Police late on Thursday night.
He was earlier sent to one-day police custody by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court in Yupia.
Special Investigation Team (SIT) superintendent of police Rohit Rajbir told media that the police have taken him on a virtual educational tour on the history, geography, and demography of the state.
He has also been shown videos of the state’s diverse tourism landscape and he was also made aware of the different tribes and cultures of Arunachal.

As part of his education, he was also shown the international border that India and China share on a world map.
The 22-year-old will be again produced before the court virtually today.
In a video posted last Saturday on his YouTube channel dealing with mobile games, he had made certain comments on senior Congress MLA Ninong Ering and Arunachal Pradesh.
His remarks were regarding a letter written by Mr Ering to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to ban the re-launch of PUBG Mobile India's new avatar 'Battlegrounds Mobile India'.
Paras Singh, however, apologised for the comments in another video posted on Monday.
The state government on Monday filed a case against the YouTuber accusing him of making a racial slur against the MLA and inciting ill will and hatred towards the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
