ITANAGAR: The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh has granted bail to YouTuber Paras Singh, who was detained last month for making racial attacks against senior Congress MLA Ninong Ering and the people of Arunachal Pradesh.

The court granted Paras's bail application on the condition that he execute a personal bond of Rs 10,000 and comply with additional conditions, including not allowing him to leave the country.

According to the sources, Paras was granted bail because the investigation procedure was nearly complete and the state police had documented all essential information during his time in judicial detention.

Paras Singh was apprehended and brought to Arunachal Pradesh by the state police on May 26 from Ludhiana, Punjab.

Paras sparked outrage when he referred to Arunachal Pradesh MLA Ninong Ering as "Chinese" and seemingly could not locate Arunachal Pradesh on a map.

In a video on his YouTube site, Paras also questioned the state's relation with India.

According to the state police, “Paras said that he created this contentious video on which the case has been registered to get wider notice and views so that his monetary revenue may be maximised.”

Police added that the YouTuber became outraged after reading MLA Ering's letter requesting a ban on PUBG because a ban would have resulted in a loss of money for him.
