Arunachal BJP holds executive meet in Itanagar, Piyush Goyal, Kiren Rijiju present

The BJP in Arunachal Pradesh held its first extended state executive meeting following the Lok Sabha elections 2024 held at the Dorjee Khandu Convention Hall in Itanagar. The meeting saw the attendance of Union Minister of Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal, Arunachal West MP and Union Minister for Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, and BJP leader Sambit Patra.

During the meet, various plans and programs aimed at the state's growth and development were discussed. The discussions resulted in the creation of detailed roadmaps to ensure that the state’s aspirations are met through Central government policies. 

Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, BJP State President and Health Minister Biyuram Wahge, Home Minister Mama Natung, Sports Minister Kento Jini, and Tourism, Education, and RWD Minister PD Sona were also present in the meeting. 

Khandu laid out several schemes designed to benefit Arunachal Pradesh, conceived by the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre. He said the meet will help us to prepare on the execution of the plans slated by the Centre and the state. 

These schemes are particularly focused on improving the animal husbandry and fisheries sectors, which are expected to uplift the financial conditions of those involved in these industries.

Other notable attendees in the event included Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul, Horticulture and Agriculture Minister Gabriel Wangsu, Forest and Environment Minister Wangki Lowang, Panchayat Minister Ojing Tasing, IPR and Labour Minister Nyato Rigia, and Urban Development Minister Balo Raja. 

Leaders and corporators from the municipal corporations of Pasighat and Itanagar also participated in the crucial meet.
