Arunachal Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein taught yoga to students at the Golden Pagoda of Namsai on the occasion of International Yoga Day on June 21.
Speaking on the occasion, Mein said that as a practitioner of yoga for the past 20 years, he used to share experiences whenever he gets time.
''As a practitioner of Yoga myself for the past twenty years, I try to impart my share of experience with others whenever I get the time. Today, I had the privilege of commemorating the 9th International Day of Yoga at the Kongmukham, Namsai by partaking in a rejuvenating Yoga session and guiding others in the process through demonstration of different techniques and poses of Yoga,'' Deputy Chief Minister stated.
Joined by the inspiring Madras Regiment of IA, enthusiastic school students, and dedicated karyakartas, it was a remarkable session dedicated to the art of Yoga.
Among the participants who participated in the event were BJP Namsai District President, Chau Sujana Namchoom, ZPM Chongkham Chau Jenia Namchoom, State Executive Member Tseng Tsing Mein, along with Brig Arun Awasthy Commander and Col Sandeep Kurup (SM) of 181 Mountain Brigade, Lohitpur, Tezu.
''Witnessing people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate the balance of body and mind was truly a sight to behold. I urge everyone to pursue the journey towards a healthier and more balanced life through the practice of yoga,'' Mein said.
