The Sarbojonin Durga Puja Committee of Barapani Market inaugurated its much-awaited Golden Jubilee Durga Puja celebrations with grandeur and heartfelt devotion at D-Sector, Naharlagun. The vibrant festivities commenced with a solemn tribute to the legendary singer Late Zubeen Garg, marking a heartfelt start to the landmark event.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Tai Tagak, Former Advisor to the Chief Minister and Former BJP State President, who attended as the chief guest. Also present were corporators of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation and Ramesh Jeke, Chairman of the Arunachal Life Saving Foundation. Their presence underscored the cultural and communal significance of the occasion.
The programme unfolded with a spectacular display of cultural performances, blending tradition with artistry. Audiences were treated to traditional dances and dramatic enactments depicting epic tales from the Ramayana — vividly illustrating the heroic journeys of Lord Ram, Sita, and Goddess Durga.
