Arunachal: Fatal collision claims two lives at Borum bridge

Two young men died instantly when their scooter collided with a dumper truck at Borum bridge in Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh, this afternoon. The victims, identified as Sahil and Tanveer, were both non-residents of the state.

Police have arrested the truck driver, Hasanur Islam, and launched a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. SDPO Rishi Longdo confirmed that both victims were declared dead at the scene.

The accident occurred on a route frequently used by commuters travelling to and from Naharlagun. Emergency responders and local police arrived promptly after receiving reports of the collision.

The investigation continues as police work to determine the exact cause of the accident that claimed two young lives.
