Arunachal gears up for national bodybuilding and fitness championship, over 250 athletes to participate

Arunachal Pradesh is all set to host the first-ever National Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship in the twin capital city of Naharlagun. The much-anticipated event, officially named the Paklu Taipodia Classic National Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship, is scheduled to take place tomorrow, drawing attention from fitness enthusiasts and athletes across the nation.

The prestigious event will witness the participation of over 250 athletes from various corners of the country, including distinguished competitors such as former Mr. India titleholders and numerous other top-tier bodybuilders. The championship will feature 17 distinct categories, encompassing senior and junior men’s bodybuilding, men’s fitness, classic model, and the open women’s sports model. Each category promises intense competition as athletes showcase their peak physical prowess.

Taba Tedir, the President of the Arunachal Olympic Association, is slated to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, lending an air of prominence to the event. Additionally, the former Special Investigation Cell (SIC) officer, Gumjum Haider, will be attending as the Guest of Honor, further elevating the significance of the championship.

The host state, Arunachal Pradesh, will see a large contingent of its own athletes vying for top honors, eager to demonstrate their strength and skill on this national platform. Victorious competitors will be awarded by the esteemed dignitaries in a grand ceremony.

The event is named after Paklu Taipodia, an iconic figure in Indian bodybuilding, renowned for her indomitable spirit and remarkable achievements. Hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, Paklu Taipodia has garnered over 36 medals throughout her illustrious career, including prestigious accolades such as the World Global Achiever Leadership Award and the title of Miss Asia Overall Winner. Her contributions to bodybuilding have not only brought her personal glory but have also inspired countless others in the sport.

As the stage is set and anticipation builds, Arunachal Pradesh stands on the brink of a new chapter in its sporting history, ready to showcase its commitment to promoting fitness and bodybuilding on a national scale.
