Arunachal: Governor administers oaths to new officials for public service and information commissioner roles

In a formal ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt. General KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.), officiated the swearing-in of the newly appointed member of Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Jalash Pertin, on March 3rd, 2024. Alongside, the Governor also administered the 'Oath of Secrecy' to Shri Pertin, signifying the solemn commitment to confidentiality in the discharge of his duties.

Not only did the Governor bestow the oath upon Jalash Pertin, but he also presided over the swearing-in of newly appointed members of the Arunachal Pradesh Information Commissioner. Khopey Thaley, Vijay Taram, Dani Gamboo and Sangyal Tsering Bappu took their respective oaths under the auspices of Governor Parnaik marking the commencement of their official responsibilities.

The function, which witnessed the participation of dignitaries including Chief Secretary in-charge Shri Kaling Tayeng and Principal Secretary (Home), was conducted with due solemnity and decorum.

Following the formalities, an interaction session ensued over a high tea, where the Governor extended his confidence and expectations to the Chairmen and members of both the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission and the Arunachal Pradesh Information Commissioner. Expressing his anticipation, Governor Parnaik articulated his belief that these commissions would diligently fulfill their duties serving the interests and aspirations of the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
