Arunachal: Himalayan University convocation unites academia, government, spiritual leaders

Himalayan University celebrated its 7th Convocation Ceremony today, with Arunachal Pradesh Education, Tourism, Rural Works, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona attending as the chief guest. The event marked a significant academic milestone and brought together dignitaries from various fields including education, government, and spirituality.
 

The convocation was presided over by Chancellor Shri P. Subba Rao, who delivered the Presidential Address, congratulating graduates and faculty for their dedication and achievements. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Prakash Divakaran presented the university's Annual Report, outlining its recent progress, academic initiatives, and vision for the future.
 

Registrar Vijay Tripathi played a key role in the seamless organization of the event.
 

In his address, Chief Guest Pasang Dorjee Sona emphasized the transformative power of education in nation-building and praised Himalayan University for its contribution to the state's educational advancement. He also extended his best wishes to the graduating students, encouraging them to contribute meaningfully to society.
 

Swami Vedasarananda Maharaj, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Hospital, attended as Guest of Honour and offered spiritual and moral guidance to the graduates.
 

The event was further distinguished by the presence of two Special Guests: Nangbia Tapin, Registrar of the Arunachal Pradesh Pharmacy Council, and Lokam Sikap, Registrar-cum-Secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council.
 

Reflecting on the convocation, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Divakaran said, “We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and honour those who have made impactful contributions to society. Himalayan University remains committed to fostering knowledge, integrity, and leadership.”
 

Later, speaking to the media, Minister Sona reaffirmed his support for institutions like Himalayan University that are uplifting the educational landscape of Arunachal Pradesh.
