Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung on January 27 underscored the importance of preserving the state’s indigenous faith, Donyi-Polo, while attending the 25th Silver Jubilee celebration of Nyedar Namlo at Rono, Doimukh.
Natung, who was the chief guest, was joined by MLA Topin Ete (Aalo West) as the guest of honor, along with MLAs Nabam Vivek (Doimukh) and Jike Tako (Tali) as special invitees.
Nyedar Namlo, rooted in the Donyi-Polo faith, has long been a platform promoting spiritual awakening, moral values, and social harmony. Over the years, it has played a crucial role in preserving indigenous traditions while guiding communities toward ethical living, peace, and truth.
During the event, Natung lauded the collective efforts of the faith’s believers and organisers in strengthening cultural identity and fostering social unity. “Such gatherings reaffirm the timeless relevance of our traditions and the shared responsibility of carrying them forward with sincerity and purpose,” he said.
MLA Topin Ete appreciated all those involved in the celebration and conveyed his best wishes for the continued growth and positive impact of the Nyedar Namlo movement.
The celebration featured the invocation of a sacrificial prayer at Nyedar Namlo, cultural performances, and the release of the Rup Anywng prayer song cassette along with the Class VI textbook of Nyubu Nyegam Yirko. The event also felicitated Rup Anywng Soju Nyvdar Namlo, mentor and founder president of RYPNN, for his contributions. Er Taba Takam, the organizing chairman, expressed gratitude to the guests and public for their support in making the event successful.
