Arunachal State Cooperative Union to celebrate Golden Jubilee, over 1500 cooperative societies to participate
The Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Union (APSCU) is set to host a grand Golden Jubilee celebration, marking 50 years of the cooperative movement in the state.
The mega event, themed “Strengthening the Cooperative Movement in Arunachal Pradesh”, will be held at Indira Gandhi Park under the leadership of APSCU Chairman Nabam Tahi Nekhil and Chief Patron Ojing Tasing, Minister for Cooperation.
With the slogan “Chalo Gaon Ki Aur – Hum Banayenge Sahkarita Viksit”, the Golden Jubilee aims to highlight the achievements, growth, and future roadmap of cooperatives in Arunachal Pradesh. More than 1,500 cooperative societies, including District Cooperative Societies, LAMPs, Federal Cooperative Societies, Primary Societies, the Department of Cooperation, and national agencies such as NCDC and NABARD, are participating in the celebration.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu is scheduled to grace the main event on 20 November, while Minister Ojing Tasing will address the gathering ahead of the celebrations.
As a prelude to the main programme, a Unity Marathon will be organised tomorrow at 6 a.m., starting from Gohpur and culminating at Indira Gandhi Park. The run aims to bring together cooperative members, youth, and citizens in a show of solidarity and collective commitment to rural development.
Calling upon the public to join the landmark occasion, Chairman Nabam Tahi Nekhil said the Golden Jubilee is an opportunity to honour the cooperative spirit that has supported thousands of households and empowered rural communities across the state.
