Arunachal: Three dead as truck plunges into canal in Changlang

A road accident occurred September 11 on Manmau Road in Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh, resulting in the death of three individuals, including a truck driver.

According to local sources, a brick transport truck bearing registration number 04 D 4827 lost control and veered off the road before plunging into a deep canal. The impact was severe, and the vehicle was extensively damaged upon reaching the water. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, but unfortunately, they were unable to save the victims.

The deceased have been identified as the truck driver and two other workers who were traveling in the vehicle. Their names have not yet been released pending notification of their families. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, with initial reports suggesting potential issues with vehicle control or road conditions.

Local authorities, including the police and district administration, have launched an inquiry into the incident. They are also working to provide assistance to the families of the victims and ensure that necessary measures are taken to prevent such tragedies in the future.
