Arunachal's Laki Weshi Sangno wins by first-round TKO at Canggu Fight Night 39 in Bali

Arunachal Pradesh's Laki Weshi Sangno registered a stunning victory at Canggu Fight Night 39 in Bali, Indonesia, knocking out local fighter Namr Arad via a first-round technical knockout (TKO) in the strawweight category on June 26.

Hailing from East Kameng district, Sangno dominated the bout from the opening bell, sealing an emphatic victory in the first round and bringing laurels to Arunachal Pradesh and India.

The latest triumph adds to Sangno's growing list of international achievements. In October 2025, he created history by becoming the first Indian to win the Bali Open BJJ Grappling Championship, marking a milestone for Indian grappling on the global stage.

His back-to-back international successes have further established him as one of India's emerging stars in combat sports.
