The Tai Khamti community of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam has begun celebrating Poi Pee Mau Tai, the traditional New Year festival that reflects their deep-rooted cultural identity and unity. The three-day festival, observed according to the lunar calendar, typically falls in November or December as per the Gregorian calendar.
