Arunachal’s transport union celebrates 25 years with silver jubilee event in Doimukh

The All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) Trade Union celebrated its XXV Foundation Day cum Silver Jubilee at Tana Hari Fish Farm in Doimukh on Thursday, marking 25 years of its service to the state’s public transport sector. 

The celebration was graced by Ojing Tasing, Minister for Transport, Panchayati Raj, RD Corporation and Secretariat Transport, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, who attended as the Chief Guest, while Oni Panyang, MLA of the 40-Mariyang Geku Assembly Constituency, was present as the Guest of Honour.

The event was also attended by Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Vishaka Yadav (IAS), Itanagar Capital Range IGP Tumme Amo (IPS), and AAPPTF State President Dobing Sonam, along with federation members, officials and supporters.

Speaking to the media, Transport Minister Ojing Tasing lauded the AAPPTF for its significant role in streamlining the public transport system in Arunachal Pradesh. 
He urged commercial drivers to maintain decent and polite behaviour with passengers and emphasised the importance of installing cameras in vehicles to enhance the safety of tourists and travellers, thereby boosting public confidence in the transport sector.
