CJI B.R. Gavai lands in Itanagar for two-day Arunachal visit

Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. Gavai arrived in the state capital today for a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh. His arrival at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar, was marked by a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the Arunachal Pradesh Police under the command of Inspector Jumken Riram.


Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu, on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, extended a warm welcome to the CJI, presenting him with a traditional khada as a gesture of respect and goodwill. Commissioner to the Governor, Pawan Kumar Sain, received him in the Governor’s absence, as the Governor is currently on an official tour outside the state.


The occasion was also graced by Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, and State Minister of Law, Legislative & Justice, Advocate Kento Jini.

Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Justice Ashutosh Kumar, is accompanying the CJI during this official visit.
