Gangda Yarchum Trust founder outlines vision behind Ram temple initiative in Arunachal

Ha Tatu, founder of the Gangda Yarchum Trust, said the construction of the Ram temple and the consecration of Shree Ram Darbar and Nav Durga mark the beginning of a larger cultural and social mission in Arunachal Pradesh.

Speaking after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony held at Girijapati Shiv Mandir on February 28, Tatu said all rituals were performed strictly according to Vedic vidhi-vidhan. He described the installation of the Ram Darbar and the Muri of Ram Raj as a spiritually significant step rooted in tradition. Referring to a hailstorm that occurred on the same day, Tatu called it a blessing and a positive sign for the initiative.

He said the objective of the trust goes beyond temple construction. “We are working towards establishing an indigenous healing centre and a Sanatani centre committed to social responsibility,” Tatu said. He added that the trust plans to build an old age support centre and a Yatri Niwas for pilgrims, designed in traditional Arunachal-style huts representing all 27 tribes of the state.

Tatu further stated that the vision includes developing a permanent tribal heritage village to reflect the culture and legacy of Arunachal’s communities. “We also aim to create a Gurukul-type learning centre along with Ayurvedic facilities to promote holistic health and traditional knowledge systems,” he said.

The ceremony was attended by Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who participated in the sacred rituals. Alok Kumar, International President of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, was also present at the event.

Tatu thanked the dignitaries and spiritual leaders for their presence and support, stating that the initiative aims to blend faith, indigenous identity and social welfare under one platform.
