Nedo residents demand immediate start of Arunachal Frontier Highway work, warn of agitation
The Zilla Parishad Member (ZPM) of the 03-Nedo ZP Constituency, Shri Kalley Rijuju, along with Gram Panchayat Members (GPMs), Gram Panchayat Chairpersons (GPCs) and residents of the Nedo/Lada Circle, has demanded the immediate commencement of earth-cutting work for the Arunachal Frontier Highway in Bichom district.
The demand specifically pertains to the stretch from 9th Mile to Lada/Nedo, including the package falling within Nedo Circle.
Expressing concern over the delay in the execution of the project, Rijuju said the people of the area are eagerly awaiting the start of construction work and warned that prolonged inaction could trigger public protests.
He stated that if the concerned authorities and contractors fail to initiate the project at the earliest, the local residents would be compelled to launch democratic agitations to protect their developmental interests.
Rijuju urged the authorities to take immediate steps to ensure the timely implementation of the strategically important highway project, which is expected to enhance connectivity and boost development in the region.
