Itanagar/Guwahati: Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu has denied recent reports of the Chinese Government developing villages inside Indian territory in Shi Yomi district of Arunachal.

Khandu is personally going to tour the Shu Yomi by the end of this month and will meet the army officials to know the ground report.

Khandu said that India now is different from 1962 and the people of the state and the Indian Army will never fall back no matter how many times China tries to claim the territory as its own.

The CM added that China has built a village on land occupied by PLA in 1959 on the disputed frontier in Arunachal Pradesh and not on territory controlled by India. The said village on the disputed border in the Upper Subansiri district was under Chinese control since 1959.

Secretary of Tagin cultural society of Upper Subansiri district Engineer Lardik Kare informed that the villages constructed by the Chinese government are nearby touching the Line of Actual Control in Maja circle of Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal near Limeking town. Roads and infrastructure are world-class developed by PLA.

They were released by the People's Liberation Army after a month but from the other side of the international border from the Anjaw district of Eastern Arunachal more than 800 km far from the Upper Subansiri district.

He added that citizens in Arunachal are not in fear but depressed and upset due to the migration of youths and old age people from border villages to towns leaving a vacate loop. This migration is happening because the bad roads and infrastructure near border in Indian side as a road being constructed from Daporijo town the headquarter of Upper Subansiri district to the town near the international border like Nacho,Taksing, Limeking, Majo is still in deplorable incomplete condition since 25 years when its work been started by BRO.
