10-hour Dima Hasao bandh today

Guwahati (Assam), Aug 13, 2018:

A 10-hour bandh is being observed at various places of Dima Hasao district since early Monday morning following a call in this regard by Dima Hasao District Congress Committee (DCC).

The DCC called the bandh from 5 am to 3 pm demanding arrest of NC Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) and former deputy chief of Jewel faction of DHD Debolal Gorlosa for his alleged involvement in the killing of Nindu Langthasa and Purnendu Langthasa.

The Congress is also demanding immediate dissolution of the NCHAC and imposition of Governor’s rule.
