TAMULPUR: Stating that the formation of a Government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the "need of the hour" in the BTC region, MLA and Bodoland People's Front (BPF) MLA Emmanuel Mosahary said that he is "100%" sure that the saffron unit will rise to power in the Bodo-dominated region in the State post polls.
"It is the need of hour. 4.60 lakh people have joined the BJP ahead of the polls. Every day, 500 people in Tamulpur are joining the BJP," Mosahary said, addressing media persons here earlier.
Mosahary further stated that after the elections, the BPF party will score a big blank in the BTC region in the forthcoming polls in the Council. "I am 100% sure that the BPF party will be relegated to a museum when all is said and done. I do not blame anyone for this, but the party failed to adapt to the changing times."

Emmanuel Mosahary also stated that the regional concerns will not be pushed to the background if the BJP party comes to power after the conclusion of the polls. "The BJP might be a national party, but there is every indication to show that the party will be deeply invested in the concerns of the local populace if it comes to power," he said.
The MLA further added that there will be no further alliance between the BJP and the BPF in the times to come. "In the past, it was witnessed that the BJP and BPF would come back together in spite of rifts. However, this time, there is no likelihood of that and the BJP will float its own candidates in the MLA elections," he asserted.
The BTC elections will be held in two phases on December 7 and 11. The counting of votes shall be held on December 12.
