Guwahati, April 5, 2019:

A number of brilliant students from Assam have cracked the UPSC exams after the results of the Civil Services Examination, 2018 were declared on Friday. They are: Tanmay Vashistha Sharma (10), Mrigank Shekhar Pathak (103), Aranyak Saikia (287), Fwwrman Brahma (429) Taposh Basumatary (645), Diksha Langthasa (708), Utirna Ranjita Sarma (130), Namita Sarma (145), Dipankar Choudhury (166), Garima Sarma (170), Rishabha Garg (200), Abhishek Goswami (525), and Sourav Sarma (656).

Kanishak Kataria, an alumnus of premier engineering institute IIT Bombay, has topped the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams. Kataria completed his B.Tech from IIT Bombay with mathematics as his optional subject and currently works as a data scientist as per his LinkedIn profile.

Srushti Jayant Deshmukh is the highest rank holder among women candidates as she secured fifth position.

Out of the top 25 candidates, 15 were men and 10 women.
