GUWAHATI: In a sensational incident, officials of the Borjhar police outpost in Assam's Guwahati city yesterday night apprehended eleven individuals impersonating Indian Air Force (IAF) employees at the Guwahati airport. According to officials, the 'fake' IAF employees were arrested around 9:30 PM in the night.

The nabbed persons have been identified as Drimon Krishna Goswami, Ganesh Das, Kaushik Bhuyan, Joymoni Sharma, Bijoymoni Sharma, Jnanendra Das, Saurabh Das, Saurabh Sharma, Ripunjoy Goswami, Dwijen Sharma, Rupam Sharma, and Nayan Jyoti Goutam.

Guwahati city police commissioner Munna Prasad Gupta informed Inside Northeast that investigations are on to determine the motive behind the crime.

"After nabbing these individuals, we have been carrying out investigations to figure out their motive. The reason for this will probably come to light after the end of the investigations," Gupta stated.
