Eleven suspected Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended from National Highway-62 by a troop of Border Security Force (BSF) deployed at Baghmara in South Garo Hills (SGH) district of Meghalaya on Wednesday.
The suspected Bangladeshi individuals have been identified as Nirmal Sarkar(34), Pronoy Dey(23), Sapan Barman (33), Kabi Ranjan Dey(25), Nupur Taklukdar (22), Sumar Sarkar (25), Kana Rai (20) and one Indian Manmohan Majumdar(48), a resident of Kooch Behar.
From their possession, the troop seized Bangladeshi currency of Taka 47,000 and Indian currency amounting to Rs 8,000.
According to the BSF, the Bangladesh nationals are residents of Netrakona and Sunamganj in Bangladesh.
