Rashtriya Bajrang Dal has called for a 12- hour "Assam Bandh" in the state on September 6 from morning 5 am to 5 pm.
The Assam Bandh has been called against the exclusion of names of Hindu people in the final draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
The organization has asked all the public and business enterprises to support the bandh in order to make it successful.
It is to be mentioned that over 19 lakh people have been left out of the final draft of the NRC that was published on August 31.
This has created a situation of panic in the state of Assam alleging lakhs of indigenous people getting excluded from the final draft of the NRC. Following this FIRs have been lodged against state coordinator of NRC, Prateek Hajela in different parts of Assam.
