Public transportation in Assam has stood still leaving the passengers in loss, offices lack attendance.
Congress party members and supporters have moved to the streets in support of the bandh called against rising fuel price.
Congress leaders in Assam, led by party in-charge in state Harish Rawat, participated in a foot march in Fancy Bazaar on Sunday. They appealed to people to participate in the nationwide protest. Some 450 Congress workers took part in the march.
