180 phases companies of security personnel deployed in Phase-I of election in Assam

Guwahati, April 9, 2019:

ADGP Mukesh Agarwal has confirmed that a total of 180 companies of security personnel have been deployed in the Phase-I of the elections. Under the guidelines of the observers security personnel will be deployed by the local police in sensitive areas.

The Assam police has confirmed that the Assam police is prepared to conduct free and fair election.

The first phase of voting is on April 11, a little over 24 hours left.

Five Constituencies will head to the polls on April. These are: Tezpur, Kaliabor, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, and Jorhat.
