3 MLAs’ names emerge in Silchar sex scam

The Barak Valley town of Silchar has been rocked by a major sex scam in which names of three MLAs and some senior government and police officials, besides lawyers, have also cropped up.

According to reports, two women allegedly involved in a sex racket filed three FIRs after having allegedly fled from the clutches of sex racketeers and named three MLAs – Aminul Haque Laskar, Kishore Nath (both from BJP) and Nizamuddin Choudhury (AIUDF).On Thursday evening, the police had nabbed one woman for allegedly running the sex racket, besides detaining the two women who filed the FIRs. However, Cachar Superintendent of Police Rakesh Raushan has clarified that the two women had only named the three MLAs as customers. They are not prima facie accused in the case, he added.
