3 new direct flights from Guwahati announced

Guwahati (Assam), September 21, 2018:

In order to boost air connectivity in the region, three new direct flights connecting Guwahati to Gangtok, Patna and Hyderabad have been announced by SpiceJet.

Nonstop flights from Guwahati-Patna-Guwahati route and Guwahati-Hyderabad-Guwahati route will start from October 10 while the Guwahati-Pakyong-Guwahati route will commence from October 16.

These flights were announced in presence of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the Janata Bhawan on Thursday.

Debojo Maharshi, Chief Marketing Officer, SpiceJet, handed over the first ticket and boarding pass to the Chief Minister marking.

Appreciating SpiceJet’s initiative, Sonowal termed this as a golden opportunity for the State. He said apart from boosting trade, education and health, the new flights would also facilitate higher footfall of tourists from other states to Assam.
