GUWAHATI: Another mishap has taken place in the Brahmaputra river as at least four Class 8 students were reportedly drowned today in Guwahati's Pandughat.

In a joint operation launched by NDRF & SDRF, three bodies have been rescued from the Brahmaputra and one of them is still missing.

Rescued three bodies were identified as Jeet Das, Dayal Singh and Abinash Das.

According to the family members of these four students, they came out from home at 6:30 in the morning for their tuition and later they had their online examination as well.

After that four friends came out to Brahmaputra's Pandughat for swimming of which their family members were completely unaware.

Later it was found from one of the missing boy's social media account, as he had put some photographs and videos of them enjoying, that they had gone for a swim and have not returned home since then.

The rescue operation is still going on at Pandughat.
