500 BJP workers resign in Morigaon

Guwahati, November 15, 2018:

Raged over the alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Jatia Oikya Manch, nearly 500 BJP grass-root workers resigned from the party in Morigaon on Thursday.

The party workers opposed the alliance and were unhappy with candidature ticket distribution for the upcoming panchayat elections.

The workers also threatened to put forward independent candidates in the panchayat election scheduled from December 5.
