A 65-year-old man was brutally attacked on Wednesday in Kheroni in West Karbi Anglong of Assam, following a land dispute issue.
The 65-year-old man, identified as Singhasan Singh, has suffered serious injuries. He was attacked by Dhanji Singh, Mantosh Singh, and Babul Chauhan while returning to his home at Majbasti on a motorbike.
Singhasan Singh was rushed to the nearby hospital in West Karbi Anglong district and is undergoing treatment.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigation is on.
The West Karbi Anglong district is a new district formed out of the existing Karbi Anglong district of Assam in 2015. Hamren is the headquarter of the newly formed district.[1] The district is a part of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Diphu and Karbi Anglong district administered according to the provisions of Sixth Scheduled of the Indian Constitution.
