70 organisations stage a protest in Guwahati against Citizenship Bill

Guwahati, November 27, 2018:

The 70 organizations, headed by the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), staged a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 in front of the Meghdoot Bhawan in Guwahati on Tuesday.

Speaking to media, Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chhatra Parishad president Palash Changmai made it clear that under no circumstances the organisations would accept the Bill and they would continue with the “Gana Satyagraha” if the government attempts to amend the bill.

Earlier, the 70 organisations had staged a series of statewide protests against the bill.
