AAMSU seeks clear stand over NRC claims and objectives

Guwahati, December 8, 2018:

The All Assam Minority Students’ Union (AAMSU) on Saturday asked concerned authorities of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) to make a clear stand on the procedures of claims and objectives to be filed by the people whose names have been excluded in the complete draft.

The body in a press release stated that only seven lakh claims and objectives out of the 40 lakh people whose names were excluded from the complete draft NRC and raised the concern over the people whose names have been excluded.

It further stated that the government should spot conspiring on the names of the extending the date to 25 March 1971 and work to help the people.
