The All Assam Students Union (AASU), Udalguri unit, has lodged a complaint with the police against two leaders of All BTC Bengali Youth Student Federation (ABBYSF).
The AASU has lodged the complaint against Shyamal Sarkar and Sujit Sarkar for their communal and provocative remarks before the media.
It may be mentioned that the president of Udalguri district committee of ABBYSF Sujit Sarkar had said “this is not 1983, this is 2018 and the pro-talk ulfa leaders should not forget it. If they have arms, the Bengali organizations have strength. We won’t remain spectators. If need arise, we can kill them inside their house.”
On the other hand, reacting strongly to the remarks of the ABBYSF leaders, Ulfa pro-talk leader Prabal Neog has challenged them.
Neog said, “these Bengali leaders should know the history first before killing us. It is evident from the history that the Bengalis had fled when the Mughals and Pathans attacked them. They need not come and kill us inside our house. We will go to the place where you call us.”
“We are not anti-Bengali. We oppose those who are supporting the Bangladeshis and taking an anti-Assamese stand,” said Neog.
