AASU unit hangs PM Modi and CM Sonowal’s effigies

Guwahati, February 1, 2019:

The Rangia Mahkuma Students’ Union, a unit of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) on Friday staged a new form of protest by hanging effigies of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a tree.

The protestors hung the effigies on a tree in front of Gandhi Mandap in Rangia where the Rashtriya Swayansevak Sangh (RSS) organized a meeting in support of the Bill.

In the presence of police and high security, the protestors moved on the place and protest against the bill. The AASU body has warned the RSS not to play the dirty politics in the name of Hindutvabaad.
