AATSA has alleged that the excise department is solely responsible for the deaths of the hundreds of tea tribe workers who were victims of the tragedy.
The student body also demanded the sacking of Assam Excise Minister, Parimal Suklabaidya.
It may be mentioned that the hooch tragedy in Assam's Golaghat district claimed the lives of 185 people and the toll is expected to go even higher as more than 300 people are being treated.
