Guwahati, September 17, 2019:

The protesters came out with fishing nets and traps on the road which was clogged with water after rain.

The ABMSU, during the protest, criticized BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary and Minister Pramila Rani Brahma. The organisation alleged that the BTC Chief claimed that he as well as the BPF was only concerned about the development of the people in the BTAD area but in reality, only a few people related to the BPF are being developed and not BTAD.

ABMSU leader, Jaidul Islam said that there has been no development in the BTAD as claimed by the BTC Chief and other ministers. The roads and infrastructure are in a pathetic condition and these need to be developed as soon as possible.

He added that the ABMSU has decided to wait for a month and if the roads are not built, then the ABMSU will be compelled to protest against the local leaders and also might take steps to prevent them from travelling through the roads.
