Rumours of absconding Assam youths joining ULFA-I

Guwahati, December 20, 2018:

Among rumours of youth joining the militant outfits United Liberation Front of Asom- Independent (ULFA-I) in Assam, an incident grabbed headlines in Tinsukia district as two youths have gone missing from December 4.

The duo has been identified as Rituraj Moran and Mantu Moran, both residents of Nalani village.

Speaking to InsideNE, Tinsukia’s Superintendent of Police,  Mugdhajyoti Mahanta ,said, “We have filed a missing report today but we did not suspect the youths have joined any outfit as there is no trace of the youths joining ULFA-I. Prior to this, few other youths went missing and were rescued in Bihar.”
