ABSU pays tribute to M Basumatary, 41 other martyrs in candlelight rally

Guwahati, February 15, 2019:

The Kokrajhar District Committee chapter of the All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) held a candlelight rally today as a mark of protest against the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama which martyred 42 CRPF personnel.

The rally was taken out from Bodofa Children Park to Assam Oil, Kokrajhar and saw a large turnout of Bodo community people who strongly condemned the attack and protested against “terrorist and terrorism.”

They also paid their respect to Maneswar Basumatary, a resident of Baksa district’s Tamulpur located in the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts area in Assam. The CRPF personnel was martyred in a terror attack after a militant belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror outfit drove an SUV laden with explosives into the vehicle carrying Barumatary along with more than 40 other jawans.
