Actor Milind Soman has officially started the cake mixing season in Guwahati with Novotel’s annual Cake Mixing Ceremony.
The fitness promoter was joined by the General Manager of Novotel Guwahati Nitin Pathak and Eminent Singer Padmanav Bordoloi at the traditional cake mixing ceremony held to mark the onset of Christmas.

At least 16 different types of dry fruits and nuts were used to make the mixture along with five types of liquors. Speaking with Inside Northeast, the actor said, “I am extremely happy to be here at Novotel Guwahati. It’s always fun to be part of this tradition of cake mixing.”
The mixture will be kept for the next three weeks and then baked to give it a rich flavor on Christmas. This cake will then be distributed to all the guests and well-wishers of Novotel on Christmas during the Thanks Giving dinner.

It may be mentioned here that Cake Mixing is a ritual that follows a definite process of putting the elaborate ingredients together, mixing them and then waiting till the mixture is ready for baking and distributing. It is an event unto itself and brings people together in fun and frolic to surrounding one of the favourite delicacies – The Christmas Cake. Novotel Guwahati also hosted the cake-mix ceremony to spread the warmth of the festive season.
