Rajya Sabha MP, Biswajit Daimary on Friday comments on the alliance of different political parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Daimary said, “When two political parties come in the alliance, the understanding should come from the grass root level. Apart from the leaders, other members of the party must also follow all the strategies of the parties. But the centre of attraction is on Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) now. AGP’s decision is the ultimate decision as of now.”
“We don’t want our strength to be apart, so as of now if AGP comes into the alliance with BJP we will be stronger. AGP coming back to the alliance is no loss to the parties,” added Biswajit Daimary.
Further, Daimary added, “AGP coming back to an alliance with BJP will be nothing but a secret understanding between the two. The reason behind AGP breaking alliance with BJP was the controversial Citizenship Bill, 2016; however, Amit Shah in Lakhimpur confirmed that the bill will be passed if they are back in power”.
