AGP demands immediate arrest of NCHAC CEM

Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leaders and workers took out a rally in Assam’s only quaint hill station on Saturday seeking immediate arrest of NC Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Debolal Gorlosa and dissolution of the Executive Committee.

The rally began from the AGP’s office and went past NCHAC rotary before gathering near Deputy Commissioner (DC) office, where the party leaders submitted a memorandum addressed to Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi through the DC.

The memorandum also urged the Governor to take over the administrative charge of the council.

The demand comes in the wake of former Dima Halam Daoga (Jewel) member Miput Raijyung alias David Kemprai alias Action Dimasa’s recent statement at a Haflong court wherein he accused Gorlosa of killing former NCHAC head Purnendu Langthasa and Executive Member Nindu Langthasa.
