AGP meet JPC members over Citizenship Amendment Bill issue

Guwahati, November 19, 2018:

A delegation of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) met the members of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) over the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, issue on Monday.

The AGP delegation led by the party president Atul Bora includes AGP leaders Keshab Mahant, Birendra Prasad Baishya and Ramendra Narayan Kalita that would meet JPC member Swapan Dasgupta.

It may be mentioned that, a few days ago, a delegation of AGP met the chairman of Joint JPC Rajendra Agwarwal in Meerut. The delegation submitted a memorandum against the bill to the JPC chairman on behalf of AGP and their wings
