AGP suspends party member for criticizing AGP-BJP alliance

Guwahati, March 15, 2019:

The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) which has become the butt of all jokes for reuniting with the Bharatiya Janata Party despite the grand show of ‘regionalism’ has now decided to adopt the extreme measure of suspending its own members for raising their voices against the unexpected reconciliation.

The AGP leaders have suspended a party executive member, Pranab Goswami, for allegedly criticizing the alliance between the AGP and BJP.

A suspension letter was issued on Thursday against Goswami undersigned by AGP General Secretary Kamala Kalita for criticizing the alliance in front of the media. In the letter, it was mentioned that Goswami has been suspended from the primary membership of the party for a year.
