The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) continues to set new standards of shamelessness. Now even women are not safe from the thugs of regionalism as this time, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) workers have reached a new low by attacking female protestors who had gathered in front of the AGP office in Ambari to raise their voices against the AGP-BJP reunion.
The protest was staged as the alliance has shaken the faith of the people on the AGP that claims to stand for ‘regionalism’ and protection of “Jaati-Maati-Bheti”.

In the visual, it can be witnessed how the AGP workers thrash the protestors and also attacked female protestors, namely Namrata Sarma and Krishna Sarma and also a youth named Abu Jana Bulbuli who had joined the protest.
It is to be mentioned that the party that has joined hands with the BJP has been trying to stifle the voices which have been raised against the party. The AGP had also suspended Pranab Goswami, a party executive member who had spoken against the alliance in front of the media.
Now the question is, will the AGP continue the same gesture towards anyone raising voice against its alliance with the BJP or will it listen to the voices of the people?
